Christmas in July

Today my monthly mixed media group celebrated Christmas in July. The plan was to make three projects which we could give as Christmas gifts. After seeing what Kim had planned for us, we all agreed it would be difficult to give up what we would be making.

Taking Flight

Once you have tasted flight, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return. --Leonardo Da Vinci

I've always considered myself creative. This feeling has been encouraged by others who tell me, "You are so creative." Little things like a handmade card or a bulletin board in my classroom would bring such a comment. But I've always wanted to do more.

And now there is The Studio. Recently I converted the garage into my workspace. Where I Create: paper. ribbon, scissors, pencils, chalks, inks, glittermist, stickles, punches, music, the dog. No excuses. It's all there.

This blog is going to be my online journal of my creative journey. My inspiration comes from Kelly Rae Roberts' Taking Flight - Inspiration and Techniques to give your Creative Soul Wings. Kelly calls herself a possibilitarian. I like that word.
